Mayor Bogs Resuello vows to intensify campaign
CONTRA ILLEGAL DRUGS
SAN CARLOS CITY— The city’s new mayor, Joseres ‘Bogs’ Resuello, vowed to support President Duterte’s campaign against illegal drugs.
‘Bogs,’ during his oath taking and inauguration last June 27, 2016 at the Arenas Resuello Sports Complex, said his administration will intensify the fight against illegal drugs to further prove that the family is not involved in the drug trade in the city as claimed by the family’s political enemies.
“…priority is drugs knowing na kami ay ini-issue sa ganyan. Patutunayan natin sa ating constituents na hindi kami nakalinya sa droga,” he intoned.
“Kami po ay against din sa illegal drugs at kami po ay nakikiisa sa kampanya ng ating incoming President Rodrigo Duterte,” he added.
He vowed to continue their father’s legacy of good governance “and for criminals and lawbreakers, that they have no place in our city except in the city jail”. He urged his constituents to cooperate with his administration.
When asked how his family has been affected, he said, “We’re affected pero sanay na kami… tawanan na lang kasi may mga taong galit talaga sa amin.”
The incoming city mayor swore to provide the people a very effective government.
‘Bogs’ succeeded his older brother, former three-term mayor and now Vice Mayor Julier ‘Ayoy’ Resuello.
Switching posts, the younger Resuello said there’s no competition between him and his brother.
“We work as a team, we support each other,” he said.
The Resuellos took their oaths before Regional Trial Court-San Carlos City Executive Judge Hermogenes Fernandez.
Councilors Jonathan Lomboy, Elpidio Fermin Jr., Joshua Resuello, Orlanda Banaag Jr., Alberto Castro, Samuel Millora, Ruby Ballesteros, Gerardo Jarillo, Emmanuel Paningbatan, and Jack Lester Soriano took their oaths before Municipal Trial Court in Cities Presiding Judge Grace Gliceria De Vera-Murala.
