Gov ‘Pogi’ underscores value of giving respect

 Lingayen – Governor Amado ‘Pogi’ Espino, III underscored the essence of giving due respect to everyone in his first regular flag raising ceremony as provincial chief executive.

Last July 4, Monday, Gov. Espino stressed to employees of the provincial government that to attain the smooth-flowing conduct of activities in their respective offices, it is essential to fix internal gaps in harmony with respect.

“Respect your work, respect those who seek for your help, respect your co-workers and, above all, respect your superiors,” the provincial chief executive said.

On behalf of the Espino family, Gov. Pogi expressed gratitude to the provincial employees for their all-out support in the 9-year stint of his father and now 5th district representative of the province, Congressman Amado T. Espino, Jr.

“Together, we shall continue the various programs implemented by our former governor to sustain the brand of public service he initiated,” Gov. Pogi said.

Gov. Pogi likewise asked provincial employees to set aside personal matters in dealing with concerns in the office.

Prior to being installed as governor, Pogi Espino rose from the ranks in his political career, from being a councilor in Bautista town; he later succeeded the mayoralty post and finished it in three terms; and after that, he was elected President of the Liga ng mga Barangay Provincial Federation.

Meanwhile, Vice Governor Jose Ferdinand Z. Calimlim, Jr. expressed appreciation for the support of Capitol employees in the bid for his third and last term of office.

“We will be supportive of the continuing programs of the new provincial chief executive to protect and promote the general welfare of Pangasinenses in aid of legislation,” VG Calimlim said. /Mark Gerry Naval Oblanca
