DTI opens Red Box Design Talents

THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) urged young designers in Pangasinan to join the Red Box, a platform for discovering young talents with strong potential in creating innovative products for furniture, home accents, apparel and fashioned accessories, initiated by DTI-Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) in 2015.

The Red Box was initiated by the The first Red Box Design Talents listed 140 designers, out of which 14 were not only mentored by the country’s most prominent design icons but also had the chance to work with local manufacturers to develop their product collection that were showcased at Manila FAME, Asia’s Premier Design and Lifestyle Event.

Four grand winners and exhibited at prominent overseas trade shows in London, Milan and New York City.

The competition is open to Filipinos, 21 to 30 years old and have not yet received major home or fashion-related awards. For more information about the Red Box program, interested participants may visit the DTI provincial office or visit www.citem.gov.ph. (AMM_PIA Pangasinan)
