Investigators face blank wall

KIDNAPPED OR SIMPLY MISSING?

LINGAYEN—The Lingayen Police Station (LPS) is still clueless on the alleged abduction of a 29-year-old resident here, who has been missing for a week.

P/Supt. Jackson Seguin, chief of LPS said, the victim Gurjinder Singh Dubb also known as Jhender Dubb, resident of Gov. Sison St. in Barangay Poblacion here, was reported missing by his family since June 13.

Seguin said based on their initial investigation, Dubb was last seen in front of the Veteran’s Park situated in the Capitol Compound when eyewitnesses saw two unidentified suspects approach Dubb and told him he was under arrest.

The suspect did not resist and indicated he was willing to go with them, telling them, “Sandali lang Sir”.

The suspects were onboard a Toyota Innova and Toyota Hi- Ace.

“His family confirmed, it was the first time Dubb went to the capitol compound”, he said.

Dubb was in the business of RTW merchandising and money-lending.

Seguin said their station already coordinated with the other police stations for possible tracking of, suspects and the victim but these turned out negative.

“We have profiled the victim and he has no pending case in any of the stations in the province”, said Seguin.

He added as of today, the suspects had not yet asked the family for any ransom.

“We are still investigating this report”, said Seguin.

A case conference was held on June 16 to tackle the alleged abduction. (Hilda Austria)
