Farmers complete swine production course

ROSALES – Some 2,300 farmers and agricultural workers in Pangasinan received their certificates for completing their course on sustainable swine production during the graduation ceremonies of the School-On-the-Air (SOA) program held here, Friday.

Rogelio Evangelista, center director of the Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center (ATI-RTC) in Region 1, said “Sanayang Pangradyo sa Agrikultura” taught farmers how to start livestock farming.

The program was conducted in partnership with the 35 local government units, Office of Provincial Agriculture (OPAg) and Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO) in Pangasinan, was aired over DZRD Sonshine Radio every Tuesday and Thursday from 5 am to 6 am from March 8 to June 15.

“During the commencement exercises, 10 graduates namely Jaypee Tambiga (Lingayen), Mardy Domondon (Sual), Cecilia Cudal (Mabini), Jaime Naraja (Manaoag), Roberto Urlanda (Alcala), Narcisa Abuton (Tayug), Imelda Salatan (Rosales) Virginia Campit (Mangatarem), Isagani Predas (Bugallon), and Rolando Fernandez (Calasiao) were recognized as top ten achievers of the on-air course program.
