THE Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) recently passed a resolution congratulating a young swimmer from the Oakridge International School of Young Leaders in Dagupan who won four medals, including a gold medal, in the recent YMCA Novice Competition, besting swimmers from other parts of the country.

In a resolution authored on Tuesday by Councilor Redford Erfe-Mejia, the SP in its very first session after the election, congratulated Luke Angelo V. Gerogalin, a member of the Oakridge Orcas Swimming Team winning four medals in the competition.

Aside from his gold medal which he won in 20 x 4 free style, Gerogalin, a Grade III pupil, won silver medal in 20 x 4 breast stroke, and won bronze medals in 20 x 4 back stroke and 20 x 4 butterfly.

These feats, the resolution stated, brought immense honor not only to the immediate family and friends of Gerogalin but also his coaches, Alexandra T. Corilla and Alexander C. Corilla, but also to the other pupils and faculty members of International School of Young Leaders. (Leonardo Micua)
