FOR PEACEFUL ELECTION

A WALK for CHAMP (clean, honest, accurate, meaningful and peaceful elections) 2016 will be held on April 29 that will end with a “one-time, big time” peace covenant pledge ceremony at the St. John The Evangelist Metropolitan Cathedral in Dagupan City.

P/Supt. Ferdinand de Asis, chief of the police community relations and spokesman of the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office, told The PUNCH Wednesday that it will be participated in by provincial and congressional candidates, police chiefs in 44 towns and cities in the province, police regional and provincial directors, Commission on Elections officials, Board of Election Inspectors (BEIs) and Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV).

This was agreed upon during a meeting for renewed partnership among local officials of the Commission of Elections, PNP and Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) on April 20, de Asis said.

The Walk for CHAMP will be followed by a recollection of candidates, police chiefs, provincial and municipal election officers with Department of Education’s BEI’s and PPCRV coordinators at 1:00 p.m. on the same day. (Tita Roces)
