REGIONAL POLICE AWARDEES

SAN FERNANDO CITY — The Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO), the Dagupan City Police Station (DCPS) and the Urdaneta City Police Station (UCPS) were among the major recipients of awards from the Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1).

PRO1 presented the Silver Eagle Awards and Certificates to DCPS and UCPS while the Compliant Certificate was awarded to PPPO, Alaminos City Police Station and San Carlos City Police Station.

“The Silver Eagle Award, as with the other awards bestowed to us, continues to fuel and inspire every Pulis Dagupan to strive more and push forward and go the extra mile to give his best in service of the Dagupeño,” said P/Supt. Christopher Abrahano, Dagupan police chief.

For his part, P/Supt Jeff Fanged, UCPS chief, said “This Silver Eagle Award may not be possible without the collaborative effort of both the community and Urdaneta city PNP. The numerous initiatives that we conceptualized for a more aggressive campaign against criminality cannot be realized if not for the help of our stakeholders. UCPS will continue to strive to make this city a better place to live, work and do business.”

The Silver Eagle Award is conferred to a PNP unit that passed the compliance stage of the Performance Governance System (PGS) with an overall rating of 90 percent to 94.99 percent under the Philippine National Police Patrol Plan 2030.

P/ Chief Superintendent Ericson T. Velasquez, PRO1 director, said the PGS has four stages that include initiation, compliance, proficiency and institutionalization in addressing organizational dysfunctions identified by studies and improving the quality of police service delivery in the country.
