City’s main streets be closed
GILON-GILON DAY, APRIL 8
THE city’s main thoroughfares will be closed to traffic on April 8 for the grand opening of this year’s Bangus Festival and the popular Gilon-Gilon ed Baley street dancing competition.
Traffic rerouting will start at 12:00 o’clock noon before the 3 p.m. parade that will start from Burgos Street to Guilig Street-Perez Boulevard-M.H. del Pilar- A.B. Fernandez Avenue and to the city plaza.
Alternative routes are: Vehicles coming from–and-to the west: Use the Lucao Dawel Pantal road to A.B. Fernandez West, turn right to Careenan and Amado Tapuac and take the E.P. Nava road. The same to return to their destination.
Jeepneys and mini-buses, bound for and from San Carlos City, Malasiqui and Calasiao: Make a u-turn at the former Dominion Terminal Compound in Mayombo.
Those coming from Sta. Barbara will turn right at the corner of Banaoang-Malued intersection and turn left at the corner of Malued-Malta road towards Tapuac and left again at the corner of Lucao-Tapuac road going to the old De Venecia Highway.
Jeepneys coming from Bonuan will take Arellano-Bani and then Rioferio road exiting at Nel-Ars.
Vehicles coming from the east direction will turn left at PNR road to Sta. Maria compound and Barrera while buses and mini-buses and trucks may turn left at Tambac-Mangin road exiting at Tebeng-Caranglaan.
Downtown jeepney will only be allowed to traverse their route after all the contingents have reached the city plaza. (CIO)
