Pre-departure seminar for Filipino emigrants set March 7- 8
LINGAYEN –The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO), in partnership with the Provincial Employment Services Office (PESO), will conduct a two-day Mobile Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS) on March 7 and 8 at the PESO Provincial Office here.
PESO Chief Alex F. Ferrer said the Mobile PDOS is a two-hour seminar conducted by the CFO for Filipino emigrants, not OFWs, to address their concerns in their country of destination. All prospective emigrants are required to attend the PDOS.
The seminar includes information on travel regulations, immigration procedures, cultural differences, settlement concerns, employment and social security concerns, and rights and obligations of Filipino emigrants.
Registration will be held from 7:30 AM to 9 AM on during the scheduled dates. Seminar proper will follow at 9:30 AM to 12 NN while the Guidance and Counselling Program will be held at 2 PM to 4:30 PM.
