Municipal employee, teacher among drug personalities arrested
MALASIQUI—The Malasiqui Police Station (MPS) arrested six persons, four are included in their illegal drug watch list, one is a teacher and one municipal employee in separate buy bust operations last March 11 and 12.
On March 11, MPS, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 1, arrested Romulo Nevado, 50, and Bryan Perez, 39, both residents of Mangaldan, in an operation at the Magsaysay Street, Poblacion here.
Nevado was caught in possession of two sachets of suspected shabu while Perez was caught with one sachet.
In a separate operation that same day and area, Malasiqui residents Dante Montemayor, 36, and Norma Montemayor, 38, teacher by profession, and Jordan Benitez, 31, were arrested with one sachet each of suspected shabu and other drug paraphernalia in their possession when caught.
The three are listed in the illegal drug watch list here.
Meanwhile, on March 12, Felix Mejia, 51, municipal administration aide 1 in the Office of the Vice Mayor and a resident of Circle Street Poblacion Mapandan was arrested in a buy bust operation in Barangay Bogtong Malasiqui.
Recovered from his possession were four sachets of suspected shabu.
Cases were filed against the suspects. (Hilda Austria)
