Bince gets Hall of Fame nat’l award
LINGAYEN— Dubbed as the province’s ‘eternal’ board member, Sixth District Board Member Alfonso Bince Jr. received the first Hall of Fame award from the Provincial Board Members League of the Philippines (PBMLP) for his solid record in provincial legislation and for being the longest-serving member of the board.
The citation read “not only an honorable must, but a solid edifice that compels to be remembered in the annals of PBMLP provincial legislation.”
Mr. Bince, in his privilege speech during the Sangguniang Panlalawigan session on February 29, 2016, shared his “pride and happiness” for receiving such award from his own organization during the PBMLP’s recent national convention.
The solon has served seven different governors in his 25 years as board member since the year 1969.
“The best years of my life have been spent in the provincial board,” remarked the 80-year-old board member.
In 2014, the provincial government accorded to Mr. Bince the ASNA Awards special recognition for government service.
ASNA Awards accords the highest expression of recognition to Pangasinan locals whose lives, works, and ideals in in the fields of government service, community service, arts and culture, medicine, agriculture and aquaculture, mass communications, business and entrepreneurship, law, education, science and technology, and sports exemplify selfless dedication to service to fellowmen and to country.
Meanwhile, Mr. Bince challenged his colleague in the August body to surpass his experience in the provincial board.
