LINGAYEN— Twenty-two year old Denielle Joie Magno, the beauty contestant from Bayambang town was named “Darling of the Press,” the first special award in the search of the Limgas na Pangasinan 2016

She was picked by the members of the Pangasinan media during a press presentation held at the Urduja Palace on Saturday, March 19.

What helped make her the easy choice was her response when asked what she would do if adjudged the winner.

“If I will be crowned as Limgas na Pangasinan, I can help mitigate El Niño by simply involving myself in green revolution or green movement,” she said.

“One of my advocacies would be to plant trees, so that our future generation will have a brighter and greener future. Through this, I believe my reign would be worthwhile and very significant for myself and for the people of Pangasinan,” she added.

In an interview after the media presentation, Magno said she also bagged the same award when she joined Limgas na Pangasinan in 2012.

This, she said, has added pressure on her.

“I felt extra pressure since I was previously part of the media… was very nervous.” she said.

Magno hosted a local TV program and worked as a disk jockey and was Miss Dagupan 2011.
