Upper respiratory diseases on the rise

THE rise in cases of upper respiratory diseases due to the constant changes in weather has been confirmed by a team of medical practitioners in Dagupan City.

Councilor Jesus Canto, a doctor and former director of Region 1 Medical Center in Dagupan, said his Team Kalusugan that is moving around in the 31 barangays of Dagupan giving health education as well as free consultation and medicines to the people, noted the high incidence.

Canto said in this extreme weather condition, people must practice good healthy habits like good night’s sleep, eating proper diet, regular exercises, avoid drinking liquor and smoking and drink plenty of water.

Anyone afflicted with upper respiratory disease are advised to go to the city health office for free consultation and medicine or take advantage of the presence of the Team Kalusugan in their area.

Team Kalusugan is headed by him and his son Dennis Canto and Kagawad Imelda Gonzales, president of the Federated Parents Teachers Associations of Dagupan.
