Love Month will hold mass weddings in 25 towns
CALASIAO— Twenty-five towns are holding free mass wedding ceremonies this February.
According to Provincial Statistics Officer, Edgar Norberte, Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) many towns and cities have coordinated with his office about their scheduled mass wedding ceremonies.
He said a significant number of the towns have chosen to stage their mass weddings on Valentine’s Day, February 14.
The scheduled events: Agno (Feb. 15), Aguilar (Feb. 24), Alaminos City (Feb. 14), Bani (Feb. 8), Binalonan (Feb. 12), Binmaley (Feb. 8), Bugallon (Feb. 25), Calasiao (Feb. 14), Dasol (Feb. 12), Infanta (Feb. 19), Manaoag (Feb. 22), Mangaldan (Feb. 27), Mangatarem (Feb. 12), Mapandan (Feb. 26), Natividad (Feb. 14), Rosales (Feb. 25), San Fabian (Feb. 21-26), San Jacinto (Feb. 27), San Manuel (Feb. 9), San Nicolas (Feb. 14), Sison (Feb. 12), Sta. Barbara (Feb. 18), Sta. Maria (Feb. 14), Sual (Feb. 14), Tayug (Feb. 12).
San Carlos City will have set its own on March 3rd.
Anchored on the theme, “Makiisa…Makisali sa Dekadang CRVS (Civil Registration and Vital Statistics),” the mass wedding is part of the PSA Pangasinan’s program in observance of the Civil Registration Month this February.
On Feb. 12 – 19, to commemorate the National Birth Registration Day on Feb. 23 or on Feb. 27 to celebrate the Civil Registration Day, certificates will be issued free. (Johanne Macob)
