KBP-Pangasinan to hold bloodletting drive
THE Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP)-Pangasinan chapter will spearhead a blood donation drive and first aid orientation on February 24 at the CSI the City Mall in Dagupan City.
The activity, in cooperation with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC)-Pangasinan chapter and the city government of Dagupan, aims to promote voluntary blood donation to generate sufficient source of safe blood to meet the needs of the most vulnerable.
“Now on its third year, the initiative is also meant to show that a broadcaster is not only a reporter and service provider on-air but can also take a lead role in saving lives by donating blood which will augment the supply of PRC,” said KBP-Pangasinan Chair Emmanuel Sibayan.
Sibayan invites volunteers, broadcasters and other media practitioners to participate in the bloodletting event and contribute to the humanitarian advocacy of the Red Cross. (PIA-1, Pangasinan)
