DAGUPAN CITY – Twenty-three of the 27 broadcast practitioners passed the accreditation examination of the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) held in this city last December 12, 2015.

Emmanuel Sibayan, chairman of KBP-Pangasinan chapter, said this year’s passing rate is 85.19 percent with examinees coming from various television and radio broadcast stations.

Under the KBP Broadcast Code, all practitioners, including blocktimers are encouraged to be accredited to ensure that minimum standards of broadcast code of conduct are met.

The newly-accredited broadcasters will still undergo performance evaluation by their respective station managers before finally issued KBP accreditation cards.

Meanwhile, examinees who failed will be issued a certificate with a temporary accreditation valid for six months to give them time to review and take the exam again before the card expires. (PIA-1, Pangasinan)
