THE School Division of Pangasinan II will host the 2016 Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) of the Department of Education on January 11-13 in Mangaldan at the Sto. Tomas Catholic School.

Erwin Dela Rosa, education program specialist II of the division and designated media coordinator of RSPC, said some 2,500 delegates from 14 school divisions in Region I are expected to stay in Pangasinan for the duration of the event.

“This year’s RSPC contest is anchored on the role of the 21^st century campus journalism in upholding good governance and leadership in transparency,” Dela Rosa said.

A parade around Mangaldan town will precede the opening program to be led by DepEd Officer-in-Charge of the Regional Office Dr. Alma Ruby Torio.

Participating school divisions include the delegates from Alaminos, Batac, Candon, Dagupan, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Laoag, Pangasinan I, Pangasinan II, San Carlos, San Fernando, Urdaneta and Vigan. (VHS/PIA-Pangasinan)
