BINMALEY ‘S ECONOMIC AGENDA

BINMALEY—2015 was another banner year for the Binmaley local government’s infrastructure program.

Mayor Simplicio Rosario made the claim when he delivered his State of Municipality Address on January 18, and to underscore it, he did it at the newly completed, fully air-conditioned Binmaley Manpower Development Center.

He said the facility which has become a favorite venue for important occasions for official or private functions “used to be just dream,” he said “the Binmaley Manpower and Development Center is where happy memories of Binmaleyans are made,” today.

Mr. Rosario also cited the ongoing construction and renovation of phase 1 of the annex building where the library, municipal trial court, Commission on Elections and the Department of Agrarian Reform offices will be housed.

The construction of the Binmaley Arcade, he said, was started last year for the benefit of retail stores. He expects the new market will be the model public market in Northern Luzon.

Mr. Rosario also announced the expected entry of SM’s Save More Supermarket that will be built in front of the central school that will pave the way for other big investors like McDonalds and other food and retail establishments, to operate in the town.

“Consequently, we shall also see the rise of a commercial bank in our town,” he added.

“Binmaley will not be left behind… we shall be at par with commercial centers in Pangasinan,” Rosario said.

Meanwhile, Mr. Rosario said another bidded project set to be implemented is the municipal fishport/fishlanding under the Bottom-Up-Budgeting that will help boost the town’s image as the Fishbowl of Pangasinan.

He also announced the approval of the National Housing Authority for a P5.5-million fund for land development, survey and titling for their housing project in Barangay Papagueyan.

He said the renovation of Estacion de Binmaley and the construction of boundary markers of Binmaley-Dagupan, Binmaley-San Carlos and Binmaley-Lingayen will de done this year. (Tita Roces)
