PSU provides cash incentives to top board passers
LINGAYEN—The Pangasinan State University (PSU) will reward its five students and their five campuses for topping board examinations
Dr. Dexter Buted, PSU president said this is the first time in 36 years of PSU to adopt a policy providing an incentive program.
Under the program, the first placer will be given P150, 000, second to fifth placers will receive P 100, 000 and the sixth to tenth placer will have P80, 000 while the teachers of the programs that surpassed the national passing percentage will also be given cash incentives.
This year’s recipients are Michael Marteja Senados, BS Architecture in Urdaneta campus (top 10), Dante Marcha Mendoza, BS Fisheries in Binmaley campus (top 3), and Lilibeth Lomboy Mateo (top 9), Ronie Gabiola Padlan (top 10), Clarisse Polo Cacapit (top 9), all are BS Education graduates in Bayambang campus.
The Urdaneta City campus will receive P170, 000 for surpassing the required national percentage of passers in its civil engineering (73.1%), electrical engineering (90%), mechanical engineering (92.9%), elementary education (86.4%) and secondary education (84.1%).
Binmaley and Bayambang campuses will receive P40, 000 each while Infanta and Alaminos campuses will get P20, 000 each.
Prior to the licensure exams, the PSU graduates with honors were given free review by the institution.
