NHA provides housing materials to ‘Lando’ victims
LINGAYEN— The National Housing Authority (NHA) is set to provide Housing Materials Assistance (HOMA) to some 8,000 families in the province, whose houses were greatly damaged by Typhoon Lando last October.
The P40 million NHA-HOMA targeting 8,000 families from all the six legislative districts, was in response to Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr.’s October 26, 2015 letter to NHA requesting for housing assistance for families whose houses were damaged by Typhoon Lando.
Each family will receive P5,000 worth of housing materials to be procured by the provincial government.
The implementation of the program is covered by the provincial board’s resolution authored by Board Member Amado ‘Pogi’ Espino III.
The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) reported that 5,350 houses were totally damaged and 48,091 were partially damaged. (Johanne Macob)
