Health officials revisit projects in Dulag, Leyte

LINGAYEN- A medical team led by Provincial Health Officer Dr. Anna Maria Teresa De Guzman recently returned to Typhoon “Yolanda”-devastated town Dulag, Leyte, to renew the provincial government’s pledge of support.

The team held a medical mission for the families. Dulag Vice Mayor Edwin Mabanta together with the members of the Sanggunian Bayan welcomed the team.

It will be recalled that the provincial government sent Team Pangasinan, a 111-man contingent of doctors, nurses, engineers, social workers, a few military personnel, engineering and general services crew, for a 10-day humanitarian mission from December 13-23, 2013.

The team was involved in cleaning and clearing operations, medical-dental missions, relief operations, repair and rehabilitation of community facilities to include artesian wells, school buildings, police and fire stations, the rural health unit, cultural center and town hall, town plaza and the Dulag Church.
