Five persons arrested repacking illegal drugs

URDANETA CITY— Five persons were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Urdaneta City Police Station (UCPS) in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) region last week.

Supt. Jeff Fanged, chief of UCPS identified the suspects as Rey Talvo, carpenter and a resident of Zone 1 Barangay Pinmaludpod, Jannele Monterop, a resident of Zone 1 Barangay Rosales, Rodolfo Valdez Jr., a resident of Barangay Nancalobasaan, Michael Servas, resident of Zone 1 Barangay Cayabanan and Armando Fernandez, resident of Zone 4 Barangay Pinmaludpod.

Fanged said the suspects were caught in the act of repacking illegal drugs as confirmed by the presence of drug paraphernalia in the house of Talvo.

Recovered from the residence are 14 sachets of suspected shabu, two opened transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu residues, the marked money used, two glass tube totter, two aluminum foil strips with suspected residue of shabu, one improvised lamp, one bundle of small empty transparent plastic sachet, one stainless scissor, one small black pouch, one small color black shoulder bag, and two cellular phones.

Fanged said the suspects and confiscated items were turned over to Urdaneta City Crime Laboratory Office for drug test and laboratory examination while the suspects have been charged with illegal sale of dangerous drugs, illegal possession of dangerous drugs, illegal possession of drug Paraphernalia and illegal use of dangerous drugs.
