Four police chiefs receive awards
ANTI-ILLEGAL DRUGS CAMPAIGN
LINGAYEN–Four chiefs of police of cities and towns received the coveted Medalya ng Kagalingan on November 9 for their successful “One Time Big Time Operations” against illegal drugs.
One Time, Big Time” is an operation initiated by Police Director General Ricardo Marquez directed against well known and listed drug personalities and other criminals in various places in the Philippines.
Awardees were P/Supt. Christopher Abrahano, chief of police of Dagupan City; P/Supt Jeff E. Fanged, chief of police of Urdaneta City; P/Sr. Inspector Arturo DC Melchor Jr., chief of police of Aguilar town; and P/Chief Inspector Dominic Poblete, chief of police of Bugallon.
In presenting the medals to the four chiefs of police, P/ Chief Supt. Ericson Velasquez, director of Police Regional Office 1 (PRO 1) said successful operations and major accomplishments are given appropriate awards and recognitions for career advancement and at the same time boost the morale of the PNP personnel.
Six other police personnel were given medals for helping rescue people affected by Typhoon “Lando” while 20 civilians were likewise given certificates recognition for their efforts and invaluable services, also during that typhoon.
The 20 civilians are from Urdaneta City, Aguilar, Bugallon and San Fabian. (Leonardo Micua)
