DTI warned retailers: Stick to SRPs

THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) here has warned retailers, distributors and manufacturers against selling basic commodities higher than the suggested retail prices (SRPs).

Provincial Director Peter Mangabat of DTI-Pangasinan reiterated that selling goods more than the SRPs is an illegal act of price manipulation.

Any retailer, distributor and manufacturer found to violate the Price Act will be penalized with an administrative fine of up to P2-million with an imprisonment of up to 15 years,”
