THERE was no let up in the campaign against criminality in the City of Dagupan by the police even in the middle of strong gusty winds of Typhoon Lando.

According to P/Supt. Christopher Abrahano, chief of police, a citizen’s alert led to the arrest of two suspects in possession of unlicensed handguns early afternoon at a fastfood chain along Arellano St. last Tuesday.

When accosted, the duo Ralph Ando, 27, a discharged soldier and resident of Barangay Miranda Sinunoc, Zamboanga City and one Demetrio de Asis Jr., 28, alleged Cafgu member of the 5th Infantry Batallion in Zamboanga, and a resident of Barangay Damit, Bayug, Zamboanga del Sur, yielded two unlicensed caliber .45 pistols, three magazines, and several ammunition.

Meanwhile, on Oct. 17, one Rolando Molina, 37, of Sitio Aliguas. Arellano Street, was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation.

Five sachets of suspected shabu were seized from the suspect in violation of Section 5 of the anti-drug law. (Leonardo Micua)
