COJUANGCO UPDATES
THOUSANDS of cheering supporters led by their mayors across Pangasinan trooped to the Commission on Elections provincial office in Dagupan City on Oct. 13 to accompany the historic filing of certificates of candidacy (COC) of the M and M team of Mark Cojuangco and Mark Roy Macanlalay for governor and vice governor respectively for the 2016 elections.
Cojuangco was joined by her lovely wife, reelectionist Fifth District Rep. Kimi Cojuangco, who also filed her bid for her third term.
After they submitted their COCs, the Cojuangcos sealed it with a sweet kiss to the delight of the crowd.
Macanlalay was accompanied by his wife Byorn, his dad Vice Mayor Roy Macanlalay and his siblings.
Mayors showed up in full force, from east to west, north to south and central with placards and tarpaulins expressing their unwavering support to them.
The M and M team is running under the Nationalist People’s Coalition-Biskeg na Pangasinan political parties. Their candidates for board member also joined them.
The former three-term congressman said 13 is his lucky date. He is now 58 which when added together would equal to 13. He added his father, business tycoon Ambassador “Danding” Cojuangco Jr. signs contracts on the 13th of the month.
When he came out from the Comelec office, the young Cojuangco said he is overwhelmed by the throng of supporters waiting for them outside, while thousands more were accommodated inside the People’s Astrodome.
Cojuangco said he has 35 incumbent mayors openly and vigorously rallying behind him. He has complete line-up of candidates in all towns and cities except in San Jacinto but he has many allies in that area.
He said he is confident that the people will support his vision, programs and dreams for the province.
