SP approves P162-M supplemental budget

LINGAYEN— The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) approved during their special session last week the P162.38 million supplemental investment program (SIP) No. 5 of the province.

According to Board Member Angel Baniqued, resolution author, the SIP no. 5 amounting to P162 million will be sourced from the additional estimated income, reversions of appropriations from salary savings from Personal Services, and fund transfer from Trust Fund.

Specifically, P101,821,384 is from hospital income; P54.75 million is from reversion of salary in different offices, maintenance and other operating expenses of the office of the provincial engineer, capital outlay from the office of the SP, and development fund from the purchase of lot for the runway of Lingayen Airport and counterpart to World Bank-funded projects; and the P4,808,000 is from the Trust Fund.

The SIP contains other priority projects and activities aimed at accelerating the socioeconomic development of the province that were not included in the approved 2015 annual investment program (AIP) of the province.

Bulk of these projects are for the operation and maintenance of provincial government hospitals worth P81.97 million and repair and maintenance of roads and bridges worth P27 million. (Johanne Macob)
