Local NGO distributes relief goods in Bayambang
BAYAMBANG—The Kasama Kita sa Barangay Foundation (KKSBF), a non-government organization here distributed relief goods and helped in the clearing operations in Barangay Bongato East and West on October 22.
Dr. Cezar Quiambao, chairman of KKSBF and a known philanthropist here, said the two barangays were the most badly hit by Typhoon Lando.
“We have prepared some 5, 000 relief goods for the two barangays, containing a kilo of rice, sardines, noodles and coffee which would help the people in a few days’, said Quiambao.
He said after Typhoon Lando exited Pangasinan, the foundation prepared its dump truck in case there will be a need to rescue or evacuate residents in flooded areas.
“We are glad we didn’t have to use the dump truck but it was used to assist the barangays in their clearing operations on Wednesday”, said Quiambao.
KKSBF will donate LED lights to Barangay Bongato East upon the request of the barangay officials. (Hilda Austria)
