Golden Tigers growl at Topnotch
PRISAA INTER-COLLEGIATE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
UNIVERSITY of Luzon Golden Tigers showed its new championship form when they dominated anew co-finalist Philippine Colleges of Science and Technology, 93-68, to take first game in the best-of-three championship series of the 2015 Private School Athletic Association Inter-Collegiate Basketball Championship held on October 7 at Dagupan People’s Astrodome.
The multi-titled Tigers of Chito Samson led the first two quarters 51-32, coasted along in the second half and dealt more blows at the homestretch to shame the Calasiao boys of Christian Calaguio.
The Tigers need one more game to wrap up the business at hand for a final victory.
Reynald Ballesteros had a game high of 24 points including three treys from the rainbow area while Julius Catuday and the high-leaping Dennis Cuaresma chipped in 16 and 13 points, respectively. Next game will be on October 19. (Jesus Garcia, Jr.)
