DOLE issues pay rules for November holidays
THE Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) issued a labor advisory on the payment of wages and other benefits for a special non-working day and regular holiday in November.
November 1 (Sunday) is considered a special non-working day in observance of the All Saints Day while November 30 (Monday) is Bonifacio Day and declared a regular holiday to celebrate the birthday of one of the Philippines’ greatest heroes, Andres Bonifacio.
With this, the DOLE ensures that workers from the private sector who will be working on said dates will receive proper pay rules pursuant to Labor Advisory No. 15 released on October 20 by Labor Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz.
For details on the computation and other related concerns, workers may call DOLE-1 Regional Office at (072) 700-2521 or may visit the regional office in La Union or any provincial DOLE office near them. (PIA)
