Cenpelco restores power to 65% of households
SAN CARLOS CITY—The Central Pangasinan Electric Cooperative (CENPELCO) has restored power to at least 65% of its household consumers last Friday, and expects full restoration by Monday, October 26.
Engr. Rod Corpuz, general manager of Cenpelco, said power in all Poblacion areas in the 9 towns and one city under Cenpelco have been restored.
He said some of the barangays are still flooded while others are still not passable making it difficult for them to restore power in those areas.
“We have already sent 30 additional manpower as well as equipment from our contractors to be able to rehabilitate our lines especially in the barangays within the week,” said Corpuz.
Corpuz said at least 200 poles needed transposition as the lines were damaged by trees while some posts were leaning or totally collapsed.
The towns of Malasiqui, Aguilar, Bugallon and Mangatarem have the highest report of damages.
He said full restoration of all distribution lines including service lines in barangays can be expected by Monday.
He encouraged consumers with line problems within their houses to coordinate and report to their office in their respective municipality for faster restoration of power.
