Three Binmaley cops honored for bravery

CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO, La Union- Three policemen of Binmaley were honored during the Monday flag raising ceremony at the police regional office here for neutralizing an armed group leader last year.

Chief Superintendent Benjamin Hulipas, officer-in-charge at the Police Regional Office pinned the“Medalya ng Kagalingan” on P/ Chief Inspector Christopher Valerio and the “Medalya ng Sugatang Magiting” on PO2 Reynaldo Domalanta and PO1 Jhordan Sarzaba.

The award was in recognition of their efforts to arrest and neutralize the notorious armed group leader Valiente Castro alias “Baldo”, 44, married and resident of Binmaley town on August 12, 2014 in Luna St., Barangay Poblacion. 

The police recovered from the suspect one Colt caliber .45, one Armscor caliber .45, one Uzi 9mm pistol, assorted ammunition and accessories, nine heat sealed sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, P117,730.00 and $200 US dollars.

Hulipas congratulated the awardees as he cited their bravery in the performance of their duty.
