LINGAYEN—The two district hospitals in the province are set to receive additional hospital equipment.

The provincial board authorized Gov. Amado T. Espino Jr. last week to sign contracts with Allied Hospital Supply International Corporation and Efotoxpress Philippines Corporation for the provision of hospital facilities and equipment under public-private partnering scheme for the provincial government of hospitals.

The Lingayen District Hospital (LDH) will be supplied with one fully automated chemistry analyzer, one unit five-part differential auto hematology analyzer, and one unit fully automated hematology analyzer by the Allied Hospital Supply International Corporation.

Meanwhile, Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital (EPDH) will receive a digital x-ray or a computed radiography with picture archiving communication system (PACS) from the Efotoxpress Philippines, Corp.

According to EPDH chief of hospital, Dr. Viviene Espino, Efotoxpress has required the payment of 23 patients per day at P125 per patient for the service of the digital x-ray.

“All other payments from patients beyond the 23 quota will go to the hospital’s revenue,” she added. (Johanne Macob)
