MAPANDAN–The barangay captain of Barangay Golden, Mapandan was mauled by two drunken teens mid afternoon of September 15 in his own village.

Barangay Captain Peter Servito, 55, was mauled by two teens, identified as Santi Palma and Jomari Santos, 19, both of Barangay Apaya, Mapandan, whom he confronted about attempting to hit him with a stone while on board his motorcycle bound for the Poblacion.

Both Palma and Santos, apparently drunk and resented being confronted, proceeded to maul him.

After being pacified by one Manuel Siapno who witnessed the incident, Santos even reportedly challenged Servito to a fist fight in front of the public.

Town policemen apprehended and detained both Palma and Santos. Servito is filling charges against the two. (Leonardo Micua)
