LAST CHANCE TO SAVE THE TREE — The backhoe of he DPWH contractor appears to be standing eerily still waiting for a chance to topple the tree that Fr. Roberto Reyes, a convenor of the National Coalition of Save the Trees Movement in Pangasinan, decided to adopt and save from certain death in the hands of the DPWH AND DENR. He tied a white ribbon that bore his name, as the trees adoptive protector. He warned that “whoever kills the tree, kills me.”  (Punchphoto by Butch Uka)
