BM Pogi exhorts midwives to firm up healthcare services

LINGAYEN – The members of the Integrated Midwives Association-Pangasinan Chapter were urged by the provincial government to do more for mothers’ healthcare in step with efforts to continuously upgrade facilities of provincial hospitals.

Speaking on behalf of Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr. during the midwives’ congress held at the Dagupan Village Hotel in Dagupan City on September 1, Provincial Liga ng mga Barangay President and Board Member Amado “Pogi” Espino III told the midwives about the need for more initiatives from their organization “to further boost the thrust for healthcare in the province.”

As he thanked the midwives for their sacrifices and services, BM Espino, stressed that the healthcare program has been one of the most rewarding programs of the Espino administration that earned accolade for the province.

In response, IMAP president Virginia del Castillo affirmed their responsibilities as medical frontliners in the communities. (PIO)
