BINALONAN- Employees of the National Food Authority (NFA) participated in a shake drill in their office here last week.

The drill started when the siren blared at 11 a.m. Participants performed the “drop, cover, hold” routine and proceeded to an open area in a single file as the tremor abated.

The drill also included a simulation of how rice are issued or released to local government units and relief agencies during calamities or emergency situations. After the simulated drill, an assessment of the exercise was conducted.

Earlier that day, NFA Administrator Renan Dalisay led the inspection of rice warehouses in Pangasinan to check the readiness and accessibility of rice stocks in times of disasters. (AMM/PIA-1, Pangasinan)
