THE Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) will hold anew its “Oplan Broadcastreeing,” an annual tree planting activity in support to the National Greening Program (NGP) of the government.

Emmanuel Sibayan, chairman of KBP-Pangasinan chapter, said the activity will be held simultaneously on August 15 by all KBP chapters in the country to raise awareness and encourage the people to join the efforts to counter the adverse effects of global warming and climate change.

In Pangasinan, the broadcastreeing will be conducted at the Manleluag Spring Protected Landscape at Barangay Malabobo in Mangatarem town. The activity was previously conducted in San Manuel town in 2011, San Fabian town in 2012, along Pantal and Dawel River in Dagupan City in 2013 and Bonuan Tondaligan Beach in Dagupan City last year.

The activity is in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and Department of Interior and Local Government. (AMM/PIA-1, Pangasinan)
