Free medical check-up for employees held
LINGAYEN – Over 300 employees of the provincial government availed of the services of a wellness program conducted on July 31 highlighting the culmination of the month-long celebration of the Nutrition Month.
Provincial Health Officer Anna Ma Teresa de Guzman said the recent free medical check-up and consultation was well attended following PHO’s intensified campaign encouraging the provincial employees to take care of their health and well-being.
De Guzman said that the province’s efforts have paid off since the program on healthy habits was started by Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr. almost eight years ago because the number of employees seeking medical assistance has lessened and have become more productive and healthier.
The wellness program which is held every month provides free consultation and check-up on vital signs and offers free laboratory tests which include FBS and RBS (Fasting and Random Blood Sugar) for patients with diabetes, cholesterol, uric acid, bone scanning, dental service, free eye check-up.
