URDANETA CITY – Winless last year and humiliated, the high school boys of Ednas School made certain this season that their debacle last year will not be repeated.

The team proceeded to demolish the Saint Philomena Academy of Pozorrubio, 68-44 in the opening game of the Milo BEST Center Passerelle Basketball Tournament held on August 15 at Urdaneta City Sports and Cultural Center.

The Ednas team managed by Rogelio Joseph Gonzales led from the first period, 11-7, widened the gap to 17 points in the second juncture, 30-17, nailed it to 24 in the third, and maintained the front up to the final buzzer with the same margin.

“The team were winless last year and I believe our first win hugely boosted the morale of our boys,” said head coach Jazy Garcia. (JAG, Jr.)
