Cong. Kimi feels at home being with her constituents
COJUANGCO UPDATES
FIFTH District Rep. Kimi Cojuangco, wife of three-term former congressman Mark Cojuangco, was warmly received by school children of Bacag Central School in Villasis during her visit and inauguration of a three-classroom building on Aug. 6.
In a Facebook post of Loejan Anudon, a staff of the Cojuangcos, he said that being a district representative involves many responsibilities but the literal meaning boils down to their most basic responsibility which is to represent the interests of their constituents in Congress. For effective representation, it is the duty of every congressman to establish one’s presence in most congressional sessions while maintaining a working connection with the districts they serve, he added.
He said that the incumbent congresswoman, now on her second term, has achieved a good balance between congressional presence as evidenced by her attendance record (which is easily verified through congressional records at http://www.congress.gov.ph/) while maintaining a link to the pulse of her constituents.

The congresswoman cannot but feel well-loved in her district as schoolchildren, teachers, parents and local officials are drawn to her.
Mayor Dita Abrenica led Villasis officials in welcoming Cong. Kimi.
Anudon also shared this observation: If anyone has doubts about her association with the district she serves, they only have to look at the faces that greet her in every event. The welcoming smiles reserved for beloved friends and family become the norm when the congresswoman is ‘at home’. The camaraderie she has with the people allows them to communicate their concerns openly; trusting in her ability to speak for them in the greater forum of government. And she does. She speaks volumes when it comes to advocating for the needs of her district.
