To prove that the water is safe, the mayor led officials of the DCWD in drinking water. She was joined by DCWD Chairman Atty. Gonzalo Duque, Vice-Chairman Atty. Ope Reyna, General Manager Adelfo Valle and members of the Board of Directors.
“The clamor of the residents for clean water dates back when I was still a City Councilor, so when I became the City Mayor I immediately put in my priority projects the provision of clean water connection in Carael,” Fernandez said.
She added: “This is the reason why I set into place Atty. Gonz Duque as Chairman and Atty. Ope Reyna as Vice—Chairman to lead the DCWD to help me in putting up the water service line”.
“I have entrusted them my highest confidence and I was right in choosing them because they acted fast on this project which finally solved the decades-long water problem of Carael”, Fernandez said.
Ms. Fernandez said that after giving the water connection, her services to Carael continues as she still has several other projects such as a 3-storey 9-classroom school building, covered court, repair of waiting area at Carael Elementary School and road construction which is in addition to the already completed 2-storey 8-classroom school building in Carael Elementary School.
