Biometric registration in CSI, SM, Robinsons malls starts

THE Commission on Election’s campaign for biometric registration, “No Bio, No Boto,” started simultaneously last August 6 in all major shopping malls in Pangasinan.

Participating in the program as satellite registration sites are all malls of CSI Group of Companies, SM City Rosales and Robinson’s Place Calasiao.

Nine malls of the CSI in Pangasinan and one in La Union began biometric registration last August 6.

In Dagupan, the city elections office started its first of four days of biometric registration at CSI the City Mall in Barangay Lucao on August 6.

City Elections Officer Erickson Oganisa said no long queue was noted as enough seats were provided for expected registrants most of whom were office employees and workers.

Oganisa said three biometric data capturing machines were used in CSI the City Mall last week and the same will be used this week, August 13 and 14, at CSI Market Square in downtown Dagupan.

Meanwhile, biometric registration at the city elections office at city hall will continue.

Some 8,000 voters still need biometric registration, from 27,000 in October last year when they began the process.

All over Pangasinan. there are some 104,000 voters needing biometric registration.

The remaining schedule of registration in CSI malls are: CSI La Union (Aug13), CSI San Urdaneta (13), CSI Alaminos (Aug. 13 and 24), CSI Bayambang (Aug. 13 and 14), CSI Lingayen (13 and 14), CSI Malasiqui (13 and 14), CSI Pozorrubio, (13 and 14), CSI Mangaldan, (13 and 14), and CSI Tayug, (13 and 14), CSI San Carlos (Aug. 14), and CSI Rosales (Aug. 13 and 14).
