More infra projects up in Dagupan

MORE development projects expected to boost tourism as well as the city’s economy, all costing millions of pesos, are set to be implemented by the city government this year.

Mayor Belen T. Fernandez checked on the status of these projects Monday (July 13) when she met City Engineer Virginia V. Rosario and Engineer Athena Intal. All these projects were already endorsed by the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC).

Among these are the construction of a two-storey, eight classrooms school building Phase II at Carael Elementary School; installation of deepwells at Sitio Tocok, Patalan and Boquig in Bacayao Sur; Sitio Watak, Rohis and Boquig in Mamalingling; and Pugaro;

Constructions of a two storey Women Center and a Library Hub at Bonifacio Street, Poblacion Oeste; installations of additional street lights at Barangay 1, Rivera Street from corner Burgos to corner Galvan Street of Barangay IV and Bonuan Binloc;

Upgrading of the concrete basketball court at Sitio Mil-Excel in Pantal; and the PCC pavement and drainage system at Dagupan City National High School;

Repainting, rehabilitation and repair of covered courts in the following public schools: Lasip Grande Elementary School, Malued Elementary School, Pogo-Lasip Elementary School and Salapingao National High School;

Construction of Lucao Elementary School’s perimeter fence; a washing area at Pantal Elementary School; and the construction of a comfort and electrical room at Dagupan City Poolside Phase 1;

Construction and upgrading of PCC pavement and drainage system at Lasip Chico Road and Dupax Road in Bonuan Gueset, Sitio Pangasinan and Sitio Centro in Calmay and Purok 6-A in Herrero-Perez, and Sitio Puelay in Caranglaan;  concreting of the pathway at Sitio Riverside and Sitio Wellington in Tambac;  installation of .45 meter RC pipe with manhole at Pasiliao, Bonuan Boquig; and  concreting of pathways at Sitio Centro A and B in Bacayao Norte;

Construction of drainage system in Barangays Bolosan and Salisay; and fabrication and installation of concrete letterings, barangay markers at various barangay locations; procurement of various electrical materials for the installations flood lighting and perimeter lightings at East Central Integrated School; various electrical materials for the poolside;

Construction of perimeter fence at Mamalingling Elementary School and the repair of Mangin Elementary School’s covered court;

Construction of five units row houses at Sitio Korea in Bonuan Binloc Phase II.

All these projects are in the Annual Procurement Plan for 2015 and the first supplemental appropriation approved by the Sangguniang Panlungsod. (Joseph C. Bacani/CIO)
