Ex-convict shot dead
AN ex-convict on parole was shot dead at Barangay Malued in Dagupan City last June 24.
P/Supt. Christopher Abrahano, chief of Dagupan City Police Station (DCPS) identified the victim as Maximo Aspric, resident of the same barangay.
Abrahano said Aspric was shot by two unidentified men riding in tandem on a motorcycle on his head and on other parts of his body.
“According to witnesses, at 1:05 in the afternoon, the victim alighted from a tricycle when the suspects arrived and shot him then immediately fled leaving a bond paper with a written message, Huwag Tularan, Tulak Snatcher ako- DDS,” said Abrahano.
He said the victim died on the spot.
Abrahano said based on their initial investigation Aspric was detained in Iwahig Prison in Palawan for theft and robbery cases, he was released on parole on February this year.
“The written note beside the victim is misleading”, said Abrahano.
He said the DCPS is also verifying the criminal records of Aspric. (Hilda Austria)
