TRANSMISSION service provider and power grid operator NGCP recently turned-over a two-classroom building in Cablong Elementary School in Sta. Barbara.

Completed just in time for the opening of classes in June, the classrooms will accommodate two sections of kindergarten and Grade 6. Another one-classroom building in Balingeo Elementary School, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan is expected to be completed this year.

As part of its corporate social responsibility, NGCP regularly gives back to communities that host its facilities.

NGCP is currently constructing the Sta. Barbara Substation in Barangay Balingeo, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan. Expected to be completed by the end of 2015, it will accommodate the load growth of Dagupan Electric Company, Pangasinan Electric Cooperative 1 and Central Pangasinan Electric Cooperative.

NGCP, a corporation which holds the 25-year concession contract to operate the country’s power transmission network, is owned by Monte Oro Grid Resources Corp. led by Henry Sy Jr., Calaca High Power Corporation led by Robert Coyiuto, Jr., and the State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) as technical partner. #
