KALIPI’s P32-M seed fund in 2009, now P130-M

LINGAYEN –  Consolacion A. Penuliar, regional and provincial Kalipunang Liping Pilipina (KALIPI) president, reported that the P32 million seed capital provided by the Espino administration in 2009 has grown to P130 million being bankrolled to benefit its members.

A member can avail of a livelihood loan of P5,000 with one percent interest in six months and rebate is given when the loan would be fully paid before due date.

Board Member Amado “Pogi” I. Espino, III urged members of the KALIPI or Kalipunang Liping Pilipina to continue their partnership with the provincial government to improve the quality of life of each Pangasinense. He hailed the members for helping make the livelihood programs of the provincial government “sustainable” for nine years.

In August this year, the KALIPI members will undergo training in meat processing, franchising, T-shirt printing, beads and accessories making, soaps and detergent making, acupuncture, basic reflexology and how to start an online business. (PIO)
