INDUCTION OF NEW BASCA OFFICERS – Officers of six Barangay Senior Citizens Associations (BASCA) were formally inducted in a ceremony presided by Mayor Belen Fernandez at the Senior Citizens Recreational Center last March 16. The first batch of BASCA officers were from Calmay, Mangin, Lasip Grande, Salisay, Mayombo, and Herrero-Perez. Fernandez said the city government will continue to provide the needs of the elderly sector as recognition for their role in the community. With the mayor are Luz Geminiano, president, Federation of Senior Citizens Association-Dagupan Chapter; Atty. Cornelia Español, president, Office of Senior Citizen Affairs; Leah Aquino, city nutritionist and CSWD OIC; and Dr. Leonard Carbonell, city health officer. (CIO photo by Jojo Tamayo)
