PENRO targets 5, 700 hectares in Pangasinan this year for NGP

THE provincial environment and natural resources office (PENRO) targets to plant different varieties of tree seedlings to some 5, 700 hectares of land in the province this year under the National Greening Program (NGP), starting in San Nicolas and Infanta.

Co said commodity seedlings like coffee, cacao, timber or Narra and bamboo will be added in the variety of seedlings.

Meanwhile, Co urges the public to refrain from cutting trees for coal-making and for other purposes to help save trees in the mountainous areas. (Hilda Austria)
